2002 Saturn L200 stutters upon acceleration and while idle

2002 Saturn L200 6 cyl Automatic 30,000 miles

My vehicle recently began to stutter upon acceleration and while idle. One friend told me it may be the fuel filter or fuel pump. What else could it possibly be and what are general estimates of repair? I live in San Diego, CA.

As far as how much to fix it would greatly varey on labor rates parts etc.I would say most likely for that car would be a bad spark plugs or coils u should have it checked out I have a spare coil pack that I used swap out to see if the coils were bad on those Cars but that was the moat common causes for that problem seen alot of bad ones. Let me know how it goes also donations and feedback greatly appreachiated.
