2001 Saturn L200 4 cyl Automatic 120000 miles

The turn signals sometimes work and sometimes dont. If I click and hold the signal bar or keep clicking it I can sometimes get it to come back on but it doesnt stay on for long. Cant find the fuse area for it. (I have 3 fuse boxes that I can see, under the hood and inside by the floor of the passenger and drivers side, but not seeing anything that says turn signals). Dont know if this has anything to do with it or not but the odometer light was out for like 3 yrs and all of a sudden it came back on and then the turn signals went.

I had this problem with my Saturn L200. It was the contact points on the rear signal lights. Saturn had a recall on them. Once Saturn replaced them they have worked fine. As for the odometer back light mine did the same thing and then came back and has worked just fine. It must be a manufacturer defect. Moisture may have something to do with it.

i posted the underhood fuse box legend part 1 that tells which fuses feed power to the turn signal circuit and the fuse labeling for the fuse box.i doubt it fuse if it was blown it wouldnt work at all not just sometimes.the most likely cause is ur flasher relay which is built into ur hazzard switch u just have pop off ur radio bezel and u can get it out.there only 22 from the dealer.when u turn on ur turn signal do u ever hear a buzzing sound from ur hazzard switch thats a sign its ur flasher.u need a new back light blub for ur odometer they burn out u hit a bump and it starts working again very common.if u want to know how to change the blub let me know.

I was having the same problem.I replaced the turn signal switch and it worked for a bit then went right back to doing it again.I followed your advice. You were correct. It was the relay in the hazard switch. Many thanks. If I would have looked here first maybe I might have saved myself $80 but then again my saturn l200 has about 200,000 miles so replacing the switch also was probably a good idea. Again many thanks.

Sincerely,
Kevin

Your welcome that's what were here for. If it was the oringal headlight switch then it was a good idea to change it there problematic and the high beam part fails causing the high beams to stay on with the car off or come on while driving. Or even the switch itself to start smoking.
