My car stalled while warm and waiting at a traffic light. No symptoms, just started to idle rough, felt like fuel starvation. Tried to restart, engine ran very weakly and rough then stalled. Evantually the battery ran down, so called a tow truck. Put the jump box on it and it started and ran for a few seconds then died, won't stay running. Any ideas?

First charge the batteri. If the engine crank but you can not start the car are 2 possibilities 1 is the electricity and 2 is the fuel pump. But since you started and rain for few minutes and when died. You have the check now when you cranked come electricity on sparks plugs or no. If yes check the fuel pump.
Loose the hose on the fuel filter I don't know where is the fuel filter on your car usually on the saab is under car near the tank passenger side in the back.
After you loose the hose start the car or cranked and see if the fuel come out to the lines if yes the pump is good if bot is the pump falt. Usually saab fuel pump is defective. It can live on the middle of the road.
