My 2003 saab's gearbox malfunction message is lit up as well as check engine light. My vehicle stalls at stop lights but, drives well at highway speeds---I have been to two mechanics, and they both say car needs new trans---but i'm a woman and I dont know if they are just trying to milk me. They also say trans fluid is dark colored but full-if that' s the case then can I get the trans flushed and flilter changed? One of the mechanics said it showed code 0715 input speed sensor, but it would be usleless to replace the sensor--help please!

The code you have is actually a coolant contamination inside of your trans. The trans oil couplins are the cause the seal broke and contaminated your tranny with coolant so you do have to replace the trans. There was recall for those couplins saab dealers replaced them at no charged you should go to a dealer and see if they might be able to help you with the cost due to the recall
