Hey what's up, u sound like u have a central locking system malfunction, does your center console mount lock switch work, if yes then your problem may be a central lock motor located & a part of the driver side door lock mechanism, providing u checked all your fuses.

Hello,

Try following tips (manual gearbox only):
Put gear stick into reverse before You turn the engine off.
Then turn the engine off, put ignition key into position "LOCK".
Take ignition key out and try to lock Your car with remote control.

It works like gearbox lock--- standard SAAB security feature.

When You lock Your car, press same lock button on the remote once again and hold for few seconds. That should activate imobiliser and/or alarm system.

GOOD LUCK!

Also check if alarm function was programmed out at a dealer by previous owner. May have been due to a bad siren & the owner did not want to buy a new one, this happens at times, so check your dealer history as per work done in the past.
