While driving my SAAB this morning it just shut off going down the road. The lights and everything were still on but the gas was not. I pulled over and tried to crank it, it turned over but would not start up. It was like it was out of gas, however, I know that it had plenty of gas. What could be the problem?

Often times the ignition coil goes out, and causes stall. Sometimes, if you smell around the electrical connector, you can smell the burnt electrical circuit board odor. This is an indicator that it has failed. Another way would be to invert the coil, install a spark plug in one of the boots, use a ground wire to ground the threaded portion(or hex) of the plug. You should have spark jumping to the ground electrode when cranking. If you observe no spark at one, try another.
