I've heard these Buick's can rust out in that front frame area. Mine looks good. But I'm wondering what holds everything together in the rear and sides? When a mechanic recently had to put a jack under the side of my car had quite a bit of rust fell to the ground. Any area I should keep an eye on besides the front frame? Thanks, Don

Good morning,

The front sub-frame does have a rusting issue but it all depends on the area where you live. Areas with high salt, snow and salt air have huge issues.

As far as the rear, you have uni-body construction. Some rust is normal considering the age. I would keep an eye on it to be sure no holes from the rust allow outside air into the passenger compartment.

Thanks Roy, i'm in a snowy high salt area. From what I can see the front sub-frame is good. But next oil change I'm going to see if I can have it inspected. Don
