My car ran hot an now will not crank, there is a pin hole in the reservoir would that have caused it to run hot? My heating gauge did not move until it would not start back. Thank you.

It could be the pin hole but have coolant system pressure checked to make sure you did not blow a head gasket. you may need to reset security system to get to start. See link.
