Hi, I have a 16v initiale engine and when I get to fifty mph it revs over 4000 to 5000 rpm. Is there anyway of reducing it while in high speed?

This is a manual; transmission meaning the engine and transmission are locked while gears are engaged and there is no way of reducing the rpm except to get a higher gear ratio transmission.

On the other hand it do not seem to be the case and most probably the clutch is bad and slipping under load. You would need to have the clutch replaced. Check the clutch system free play adjustment. If out of adjustment, the clutch would be partially engaged resulting in slippage.

Yes provided you can get one but it is going to affect the performance.
