Rough idle and cold heat

Cold start it idles rough and the RPMs are not where they need be, eventually will be normal. Also seems to lack throttle at times which affects shifting, when at idle unless accelerating the heat will only blow cold.

Hi,

The first thing to check for the heat issue is the engine coolant level. If it is low, this can happen. Also, is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? If it is, you need to have the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how that is done:

I realize most people don't own a scan tool. However, most parts stores will do it free of charge.
