When I take out my cam phaser bolt out and have my timing chain secure, can I loosen up my cam caps slowly and evenly then lift out the cam so I can replace my rockers?

No use the tool in the picture, otherwise the chain will jump.

Check around it may be a Ford tool, but other places will have something similar that will work. Snap on, Matco, Mac maybe an auto parts store like Lisle or OTC tools.
