The noise is emitted by the chain within the transmission while it is driving the driven drums.
Either the transmission fluid has deteriorated in quality or wear on the driving chain has resulted in the chain slipping minimally on the driven drum.

Replacing the transmission fluid might help to reduce or eliminate the noise but this is dependent on the condition of the chain and drum. The correct CVT transmission fluid must be used for this transmission.
If replacing the transmission fluid reduces but do not eliminate the noise, a second replacement after running in the new fluid could help.

The noise is nothing to worry about until you feel jerking motion from the transmission when taking off. That would be the time to get a new replacement.
