Resetting the TCM

Was told I can reset the computer by jumping 2 terminals after changing the 1-2 shift solenoid. What 2 terminals?

Good morning,

there is no resetting the TCM at all. There is reprogramming but that is done with a factory scan tool.

You can remove the negative battery cable for a minute and reinstall. That will make the TCM forget the code for the time being.

If your repair was correct the light will go out. If it is not correct, the light will remain and further diagnostics are required.
