Welcome to 2CarPros.

Here are the directions for removal and replacement. Also, the attached pictures correlate with these directions.

PROCEDURES

Parking Brake Cable Replacement
Replacement

NOTE: The parking brake cable must not be bent or distorted. This will lead to stiff operation and premature cable failure. Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.

1. Remove the parking brake shoes, and disconnect the parking brake cable from the brake shoe.

2. Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolts from the backing plate (A), and remove the parking brake cable (B).
3. Install the parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal, and adjust the parking brake. Apply the parking brake firmly 10 times, then adjust it again.

Hello Joe, I got it done thanks and I do have another question.

The rear wheels on my vehicle have the toe pointed inwards on both sides.

I have recently replaced the rear sway bar but it may have been unnecessary, I noticed after comparing the two.

Also I replaced a stabilizer link that was snapped.

What is the process for adjusting Toe in/out on a 2004 acura tl 3.2

Welcome back:

Honestly, that should be done on an alignment rack. However, here are the directions. The directions will provide the information on adjustment points. Again, it shows it on an alignment rack. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

___________________________

Rear Toe Inspection/Adjustment
Use commercially available computerized four wheel alignment equipment to measure wheel alignment (caster, camber, toe, and turning angle). Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
1. Release the parking brake to avoid an incorrect measurement.
2. Check the toe.
Rear toe-in: 2 ± 2 mm (0.08 ± 0.08 inch)
If no adjustment is required, remove the alignment equipment.
If adjustment is required, go to step 3.

3. Hold the adjusting bolt (A) on the rear control arm (B), and loosen the self-locking nut (C).
4. Replace the self-locking nut with a new one, and lightly tighten it.

NOTE: Always use a new self-locking nut whenever it has been loosened.

5. Adjust the rear toe by turning the adjusting bolt until the toe is correct.
6. Tighten the self-locking nut while holding the adjusting bolt,
