Replacing PVC valve

Lately when in park the engine accelerates. I took it to AutoZone and the read out stated that the PCV valve needed to be replaced. My husband attempted to do this but we didn’t see a valve to remove and the piece that is connected to the hose is permanently attached and can’t be removed. How do we get this valve changed?

Hello, I'm Danny.

You forget to mention the engine size. Is it a 3.4 or 3.6 L? I've attached pictures below for both engines. Picture #1 is for the 3.4L The other two pictures are for the 3.6L. The 3.6 has a front and rear set of steps.
