Hello, does anyone have an idea on this type of car where I have to access it through the wheel-well? How I would change the alternator? A few mechanics seem very apprehensive when I spoke with them. I decided to do it myself. I found some videos on 2007 with the same engine, but it doesn't cover the wheel-well part and they are still working in the hood. Then I found some 2010 ones that starts with the wheel-well and changing it from that bottom but a lot could differ.

Hello,

The only things you should have to remove from your vehicle's engine to remove the alternator is the negative battery cable and the accessory drive bolt, save the alternator mounting bolts. In the diagrams down below I have included the factory directions on the removal and installation of your vehicle's alternator. Please go through this guide, from the vehicle manufacturer, and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
