Replacing radiator

I need to know how to replace the radiator. Mine is pushing water out of the top.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

First, I am providing information for a Mercury Cougar (V6 2.5L) If that is incorrect, please let me know.

Here are the directions for replacing the radiator. The pictures attached correlate with the directions.

PROCEDURES
Removal
All Vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.

3. Disconnect the radiator upper coolant hose.

Vehicles With Automatic Transaxle

4. Disconnect the transaxle upper cooling line.

Vehicles With 2.5L Engine

5. Disconnect the coolant expansion tank hose.

All Vehicles

6. Remove the fan shroud nut.

7. Detach the fan shroud and secure to one side.
8. Raise and support the vehicle.

Vehicles With Air Conditioning

9. Secure the air conditioning condenser.

10. Disconnect the radiator lower coolant hose.

11. Remove the radiator right hand bracket.

12. Disconnect the transaxle lower cooling line.

13. Detach the air conditioning condenser.

14. Detach the transaxle cooling lines.

15. Remove the radiator left hand bracket and remove the radiator.

Installation

1. To Install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Fill the transaxle.

3. Fill the cooling system.
