The car started smoking from the exhaust, but did not have any power issues or check engine soon lights on. Smoke was mostly at start up, but has gotten worse. I replaced the PCV valve twice and now it is getting sludge through and burning creating more smoke. The car passed a leak down and compression test, and it does not burn oil or coolant. Will it finally burn off the sludge and quit smoking on its own? And if so, how long may that take?

Check coolant system for a blown head gasket it may be leaking into intake area pressurizing it. there is also a chemical you can add to verify if it is a head gasket.
