My 1991 renault 19 with engine 1.7L and with 107.000kms on the speedometer. With automatic transmission, is not engaging in to drive, it works for reverse and the car moves, but in drive the linkage is working fine but the car doesn't feel engaging and it won't move foward. The trans fluid level is ok. Any help to where to start looking for it will be appreciate it.
Thank you.

Transmission may need a rebuild .. forward clutch's probably worn out. I would try a fluid and filter change by following this guide.

This guide can help as well

Is the speedometer working if not then the problem could be the vehicle speed sensor which is near the final drive axles of the transmission. Please let us know how to goes.
