My car engine does not respond well at all when I push the accelerator down too far. This is happening in every gear and takes at least a minute to get form 0-40 as I am unable to push the accelerator more than a centimeter. If I do It just over revs and the fuel economy is now disasterous. Any ideas?

Have the clutch checked and throttle position sensor !
