Noises problem
2003 Renault Laguna Two Wheel Drive Manual 140000 miles

I have a noise which seems to come from the front left/under bonnet area. It only happens in 3rd and 4th gears, when applying the throttle, and at 2000 to 2500 revs. It goes away when I back off the gas or depress the clutch. The noise is a rattling/grating kind of noise like something is in contact with something it should not be.
I can feel no noticeable reduction in performance or gear change or clutch operation, nor is there any vibration or strange feeling that I can feel through the gear change, throttle, or clutch pedal.

Any guidance would be gratefully received.

Regards, Peter

You will a tech to test drive and try to locate the fault. Usually garages do not charge for a diagnosis in the hope they will get the work.

Hello Peter I was wondering if you found the problem with gears in 3rd and 4th as I have the same fault?
