The left map light bulb in my vehicle listed above is staying on. I was afraid that if I left it on like that, it will drain my battery. So, I removed fuse #14 from the fuse panel in the car. That turned off the map lights. However, it also turned off the operation of opening and closing the windows, the radio and some other things. In the meantime, I tried to remove and replace the left light bulb. However, I am unable to do that. How do I remove it? Do I have to remove the harness? Please see the pictures attached.

I found out that I can remove the bulb by turning it in a counterclockwise direction. It was easy to remove it that way. It just took applying some more force than I was comfortable with before.

Okay, I get that. Is your map light switched on? This will override the dome light controls. The switch for the dome light override is on the headlight switch. Try moving it to make sure it is not on. Let me know.

Another question is how do I repair the broken switch associated with that bulb? Please see the attached picture.

That is a dealer part only, you need to call the parts department and ask them how this switch is serviced, either by itself or as part of the dome light module, if it is the latter, I would go to eBay to try to find it used.
