EFI fuel pump removal

I am removing the gas tank from my vehicle listed above to replace the broken EFI fuel pump.

Having already removed the brackets and other hardware, I am now releasing the pipes from this defective fuel pump. How should I press/push/slide/or other the clips that attach the fuel pipes to the fuel injector?
From which-side (left or right-side of this white bushing) should I insert my slotted screwdriver to release these clips?

This middle line that you are showing is actually one that you squeeze the ends of the line together so that the teeth inside the line spread out. So where you can see the lip of the hard line of the pump is where you squeeze on both sides.

What sort of tool should I use to squeeze to extricate these pipes? I have a small needle-nosed pliers that should allow me to press on the white-clip.

Hello, I'm Danny.

There is no need for pliers or tools, Just your thumb and index finger! Place thumb and index finger on each white tab of the outside tab and squeeze together. While doing so use your other fingers on other hand to pull black connector off. Picture attached below. The white clip will stay on the old fuel pump. New one will be supplied with the purchase of your new fuel pump. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
