Followed all steps starting with 1) disconnected battery 2) removed drive belt 3) removed top mounting bolt 4) disconnected wire to alternator.

Trying to locate the bottom bolt. Does it face out towards the pulley (pulley and drive belt) or does it face back towards the rear (exhaust manifold)? What else needs to be removed to access the bottom bolt? Thanks, much appreciated.

I cannot see anything specific about it anywhere. It should be accessible from the front though. It might be held by a nut on the other side, in which case you would also have to get a wrench or socket on it to keep it still while loosening the other side.

If you have already taken the two bolts off and it seems like it will not move, it is because the adjustment bracket is tight on it. You will just have to force it.
