The shop hooked up new fuses and relays to my new headlights which is halogen. Now when I hit the dimmer switch. All lights turn off. Then I hear click from the relay and the lights are on again? Any solution for that? Power supply? Smaller relay that activates on less?

Hi Jorgen, welcome to 2CarPros. Lets see what we can figure out here.

Okay, to start I have a few questions.
First, why the new fuses and relays? What was wrong with stock wiring?
Second, when you say all lights turn off, You mean dash and head lights turn off when you turn the dimmer down on the dash?

Rich. Nice car by the way!

Fixed it. Bad floor dimmer switch. Could switch between brights to driving lights with just a big thump near the dimmer switch. Bad connection. Got to pull it up and connect it better.

Or if it just very corroded floor switch then it would be better to replace it. Probably has went through a lot of peoples boots with water or dirt on them.

Normally when those high-beam switches fail you lose all headlights so, I would suggest replacing it. They are fairly cheap.

Rich.
