I just got my transmission rebuilt in June. The car is doing the same thing again but a little worse. When I put the car in reverse today it wouldn’t go into reverse. I know I had it put into the gear. It took me 3 try’s to get it into reverse for the car to move backwards. I also notice at a stop light, when I began to accelerate it started jerking when in drive. It’s not whining like it did before. Just doing the following symptoms.

Do you think the place I took it to put the parts in wrong or are defected? I know something like this happens when a transmission is rebuilt. But this isn’t used, it has all new clutch packs put into it.

Good afternoon,

You should have a warranty on the repair. All the shops I deal with have 6-month warranties.

Did you check the fluid level? A low fluid level could cause this.

Are there any codes stored for the fault?

No codes, level is good. The shop has closed now. So I don't think the shop I take it to will honor the plan because the part I am thinking that needs to be replaced wasn't replaced from the location I took it to.

You will need someone to check it for you.

Yes, it sounds like it may have to be opened up again.
