I am "Green" when it comes to working on automobiles. I recently purchased a non-running 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe. I just bought a rebuilt straight 6 engine and plan on dropping in soon. As I mentioned earlier- I am extremely green when it comes to automotive work, but am hoping to do as much as I can with a friend.
I am hoping to get a good checklist of what to do before firing "new" engine in the Plymouth. No detail or spec. Too small obviously. I appreciate any input. I will also keep you updated. Thank you for your time.

Once engine is in fill with oil and coolant and try to pressurize the lube system. If it has not been done already. Lube fuel pump lever prior to installing with graphite grease, oil, etc. Put new spark plugs in wires etc. Make sure all electrical connections are in and correct then fire it up and check for leaks.
