When replacing the rear heater control valve on a 1993 e-150 which way does the arrow point that's on the control valve? There is currently no valve it has a manual shutoff valve installed that someone put on when replacing the old one so I don't know which way the arrow points.

So the arrow goes in the way the coolant flows, but it should work either way. Ken

Hi Ken Thank you very much for your help. I have one other question I want to change the rear axle lubricant does it require any additives such as a slip agent to the new lube? It's a 10 bolt rear axle and I believe a 3.55 gear ratio. Its a conversion van with a 5.8 lt engine.
