Do I need to replace the glass window when replacing the regulator and possibly the motor? I have heard there is a strip at the bottom of the glass that has a groove and it has to be replaced when fixing the regulator and motor. I am curious if I have to replace the glass at all or if there is just a new strip I can buy, or if I have to replace the whole thing. Trying to save myself some money. Thank you

You should not need to do that, just the motor and regulator may come as one piece if you have the slotted piece just fill it with silicone rtv and roll window up when done. Leave it like that for twenty four hours and you will be good.
