Okay, I had to replace wheel lug studs and have caliper removed from rotor and hanging. When I went to put it back on somehow the brake piston extended and now, I have both brake pads pinned together. How do I depress the piston?

Use a large C clamp to push on the outer pad enough that you create a bit of space then remove the outer pad and use the clamp to compress the inner pad and piston back into place. Similar to the way the brake piston gets compressed in this video.

Then put the outer pad back in and install the caliper.
