How to engage repair mode so that I can replace the rear brake pads?

I need to change the rear brake pads on the vehicle listed above. I read that you need to put the car in repair mode, how do I put it in repair mode?

Okay, here are the instructions on how to change out the rear brake pads and how to remove and reset the rear brake caliper. I have also included the torque specs so when you are reassembling the job everything gets the proper tightens. Also, there are some warnings they say you need as well; they look like typical boiler plate, but you should go over them anyway. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
