Hi there,

My driver's side back wheel has jammed, I have taken the wheel off and banged it to see if I could loosen it but it's not for budging.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks

Hi,

We could have a couple of different things. For example, the brake springs and components may have come apart and are jamming the brake drum from turning, or the wheel bearing itself may have seized.

Did you notice any growling sounds or any odd sounds from the rear of the vehicle while driving? Also, have you removed the brake drum to inspect the components?

If you haven't, we need to remove the brake drum which is bolted. See pic 1 below. Un-steak the lock nut and then remove the bolt. Take a hammer and tap around the drum and between the wheel studs and remove the drum.

Do this and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
