I AM BEGINNING TO WONDER ABOUT THE HEIGHT SENSOR MOUNTED ON THE REAR AXLE. THE CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL SENSOR. I HAVE TWO EXTRA SENSORS I GOT FROM A AUTO SALVAGE YARD. THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS A FOUR PIN. THE WIRES ARE RED, BLACK, BLUE, GREEN. I WOULD LIKE TO TEST THE SENSORS WITH AN OHMMETER. HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT DOING THIS AND WHAT READINGS. TO BE HONEST, I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH AN OHMMETER USE OTHER THAN READING VOLTAGES. I AM A NEW MEMBER AS OF TODAY. THIS SITE WAS RECOMMENDED TO MAYBE HELP ME GET MY LINCOLN ROADWORTHY. I HAVE BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO FIGURE OUT THIS CAR'S SUSPENSION. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

An image(s) regarding the above question. I have the male end connector to be able to touch wires with the ohmmeter. The air pump may be a problem although is new, the air bags may not be pumped up to pressure. The bags don't leak as I used soapy water to detect this already. I have spent hours and hours trying about everything to get this car going again.

Check fuses 1-4-8 first then check air suspension switch in rh side of trunk see if power is going through. Check fuse U30 in engine compartment along with air pump relay then if all that is good have it scanned for codes as it may be the module in steering column or suspension module screwing up or the compressor but you need to scan it prior to checking height sensors.

Thank you. The air bags are holding the car up and not leaking for four days now. The car is at trim level. The next thing to test is if weight in the car will get the air to raise up. I put back the original compressor and everything pumped up quickly. I also made sure of ground wiring.
