Real axle lube?

I am wondering as I know some older vehicles used to have to have a slip agent added to the rear axle lubricant when changing it. Does my 1993 ford e-150 rear axle need any special additive to it? Its a 10 bolt and I believe a 3.55 gear ratio rear axle. I have some other numbers from the tags on it but I don't know what they mean.
