I have the vehicle listed above mk3 GL. The OBD connection is in the form of an OBD2 connector but being a 1995 build suggests it is OBD1. How can I get access to the codes?

Hello,

Many vehicles in 1995 had the OBD II, as they started to switch over. But from 1996 all of them were OBD II.

So, if your vehicle has the OBD II port that you will be able to use any OBD II scanner.
