Ninety percent of the time problem occurs during acceleration and occurs more often during higher rates of acceleration. Also, the engine will shut off occasionally when just sitting stopped and idling. The codes that it throws is a theft deterrent or fuel enable signal. One thing to make note of is I do not have any remotes or key-less entry for this vehicle. I thought possibly the fact that it is never unlocked remotely could be telling the theft deterrent system that the car was being driven without being remotely unlocked. Obd2 diagnostics have told me that the BCM needs to be reprogrammed or replaced, also possibly the camshaft position sensor CPS or crankshaft position sensor. Another possibility I think personally the fuel pump may be going out. Just had the ignition cylinder replaced so it is not the sensor for fuel enable.

The ignition cylinder doesn't contain the paaslock sensor the pass lock sensor is in the steering lock housing. What are the exact code numbers not code descriptions? Also a bad crankshaft position will set a code when they go bad.

When it's acting up have you checked that plastic blow off Valve on the intake manifold I have seen them stick.

I don't see or understand what plastic blow off valve you're referring to and I have gotten the fuel enable codes 1629 or 1626 I believe for the theft deterrent. I should mention the change oil soon light comes on also when the security light comes on but stays on at most a couple miles. Wouldn't this be consistent with a faulty BCM?

On the 3.0L saturn vue engines there is a plastic blow off Valve on the drivers side of the intake manifold it's round looks like a button. Those codes started with a P?If I had the body control module codes as well that would really help that's where the pass lock sensor fault codes would be if there were any. To read those codes it takes a advanced scan tool and a lot of the time a advanced scan tool that shows live data. Alot the time when the pass lock sensors fail there intermint.

Yes P1629 I'm getting random misfires as well. Why would there be such a violent jolt in the engine when this stall does start? I think the security light coming on May be a safety feature. Under accell the transmission sometimes slips out if gear really quickly and revs up and then quickly returns to where it was.

The security light flashing means there is probably a issue with the anti theft system. Also I have seen body control modules go bad on those cars. Usually if it's missing bad enough it would set a miss fire code. You could have a bad crankshaft position sensor sometimes they won't set a code when they fail. Does your code reader have some live date? Also when it stalls does it always start right back up?Or does it have to sit a little while before it will start.
