Since the vehicle is so new, this will be under warranty.
What I found was there is a software update that is required for the issue you are experiencing. There is a software version V155 update.
Here is what I suggest. Contact a GM dealership and confirm the update is available for your vehicle. If it is, and from what I'm reading it is, have them do the update. It should eliminate the issue.
