My radio just displays 88.3. I assumed this is talking about the lower FM channel. It will not change to AM, CD player or tape player. It is just locked on 88.3. Until about a month ago, it was working great. Should I just go online and buy a new radio or is this easily fixable?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Sounds like it might be an internal electrical problem within the radio. Anti-theft radios will show the display saying "locked" when having the car battery disconnected/replaced. You might be able to find a car audio store/shop that can repair your factory radio but it might be more cost effective like you said in just buying a new radio. There is a company you can find online called METRA that makes wiring adapters and dash face plates that make the aftermarket radio replacement completely plug-and-play. Way more convenient than having to splice wires and possibly drain car battery if mistakes are made. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
