I have the vehicle listed above that recently started overheating when at idle. We diagnosed that the radiator fan does not turn on. I have replaced the engine temperature sensor and the radiator fan assembly. I have also tested the fuses and relay in the engine fuse box. The fan still does not come on. Any advice on what to try next? As a side question, should the fan come on immediately when the A/C is turned on - should this be a correct way to test if the fan works?

Hello. I'm Harry. My next move in your situation would be to pull the fan or and run direct power to it's leads. It should run fast and smoothly. Any different than that means that you simply need a new fan. I'm including instructions on how to pull the fans out for testing.

Once you have it out, run 2 wires from your battery terminals to the connector for the fan. The fan should kick on if the wires are connected correctly.

Let us know what you find and we'll go from there.
