Radiator leak

I have aluminum core with plastic tanks. I have a leak where tank and core meet about half way up will a stop leak work if so which one would you recommend?

Hey A604,

In this case as replacing the radiator is not that big of a job I would advise against using any stop leak product.

You end up with residue in the cooling system which can cause problems further down the line.

If you replace the radiator and fill with new coolant you will not then meet any issues in the future because of the repair.

Stop leak products are really only good as a last resort if repair costs are too high and you only need to keep the vehicle going short term.
