Remove and replace ignition lock and switch

Supposed to be 300 "SDL" model. Is the same as for "E" model? (Not my car)

Hey John

The steering lock assembly is comprised of three main components:

Ignition lock (locking cylinder)
Ignition switch (starter switch)
Steering column lock (steering lock)
Use this procedure to replace the IGNITION SWITCH. Additional information is also available for IGNITION LOCK replacement and STEERING COLUMN LOCK replacement.

REMOVAL
Remove driver's side under-dash panel.
Starter Switch Connector

Turn ignition switch to position 1. Disconnect starter switch connector.
Starter Switch

Use a short screwdriver to remove three starter switch screws.
Remove starter switch.
INSTALLATION

Starter Switch Alignment

Align starter switch lug with lock housing recess.
Install and tighten starter switch screws.
Reconnect starter switch connector.
Install driver's side under-dash panel.
