Propeller or transfer gearbox

The short chassis propeller fell off. The mechanic tried fixing it back and even replacing it's parts but it still gets loose after driving more than 10 km. What could be the source of the problem? We tried changing mountings too but the problem didn't go away.

Good morning,

Do you mean the driveshaft? If so, are you asking about the front or rear driveshaft?

ASEMASTER6371, If I refer to the diagram you have included, its the one labeled "propeller shaft" and I was told it's the rear drive shaft as the front one is the one that controls 4WD in the old short chassis RAV4 version. Correct me if am wrong.

Correct. However, if you remove the front shaft you must drive in 4 wheel drive for it to move unless you have a manual transfer case.
