Was given the car listed above from my neighbor because he had lost the keys.I purchased a used ignition and key from wreckers. Bought a new transponder key and then went to Chrysler and was given the security code to reprogram key. Purchased a xtool key re-programmer. When it says to enter security code I input it in xtool and it comes up as wrong security code.I tried different codes and they didn’t work either.I phoned another Chrysler shop and they also gave me the same security code as first dealership did. Do I have to reset the alarm or ECU?Thanks for any info that I can try.I live out of town and will pay a fortune for tow truck to bring car into dealership. Thanks again.

Good afternoon,

I attached the procedure for the process. You need a DRB scan tool to complete the procedure.

If you do not have one, call a locksmith and they can come to you and do the programming.

Hi Roy.I was reading here about a member turning his key to the on position for an hour then try programming it and I did that and it worked.I was able to program my new key to the car and now it runs. Thanks again 2CarPros.
