Problems either with transmission or computer

When you put transmission in drive or second gear it will shut off the engine, but reverse no problem. You can pull down in low you can take off and shift gears manually until you put brakes on in drive shuts off the engine at a complete stop. Any help would be great.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a torque converter that is falling apart inside which will cause the engine to stall when putting it in drive. If you can try to get the car going down hill (rolling) with the engine running and in neutral then put it in gear. If the engine doesn't stall then you know its the converter.
