The ECM that is provided for that year by like PetBoys and other auto parts stores is a different Part Number and part all together than the one in my CJ-7. The part number for the chip in the ECM that they provide is 8132519 and the part number for the chip that came out of my Jeep is 801410327

IS YOUR JEEP ENGINE/ CARB/ EMISSIONS/ LIKE IN TIP-TOP CONDITION? (NO MODS--EVERYTHING FACTORY INTACT)

WHAT IS HAPPENING THAT MAKES YOU WANNA REPLACE IT?

WHAT REGION SORTA DO YOU LIVE IN?

WAS THE PRIOR ECM MAKING YOUR CARB FUNCTION PROPERLY?

ARE YOU EMISSIONS TESTED. WITH A VEHICLE THAT OLD, DO THEY HAVE EXCEPTIONS, CERTAIN LENIENT REQUIREMENTS?
