Power steering not working?

Power steering went out on the vehicle listed above. I had replaced the rack and pinion, and the pump and the steering is still really hard.

It takes a day or two for the fluid to dissipate the air from the hydraulic system. I would start the engine and then move the steering lock to lock and then shut the engine off and recheck the fluid level. Also, when the engine is running you should hear the pump labor when the steering wheel is moved, if not you may have a defective pump. Also please check out this guide:
