I know the lines are separate for the power steering lines. But the lines on the rack itself seem to be separate from those lines. Can the lines on the rack be replaced?

Good evening,

The lines on the rack are the steel lines. They are not available from what I see. The rack gets replaced when those lines fail.

My concern is why they failed. They should last the life of the rack. The only way they could fail is if moisture gets into the system and the lines rust out from the inside.

I attached the procedure for flushing the power steering fluid. That should be done every 50,000.

Is it in the hose or the steel line?

Okay, I would consider replacing the steering rack and flushing the system. There is debris in the system from the rust from the lines.
