My power steering went out very suddenly. I was barely low on fluid when checked. There is no noise whatsoever to explain what is happening. Or to even prepare to lose power steering.

Hi,

That is an odd one. You mentioned the fluid was slightly low. With the engine running, inspect the power steering fluid in the reservoir to see if there is movement. Also, make sure the belt is tight. The pump has a separate belt on this vehicle. See pic 1 below.

Let me know. Also, let me know if the fluid is foamy or anything out of the ordinary.

Take care,

Joe

Okay, I got under my car to check the belt. This may sound crazy but when I went to check all I felt was medal. And the circle part it should be on spins. Does that mean I have no belt?

Hi,

It sounds like the belt broke. LOL. That would certainly explain what happened. Were you able to replace the belt? If not, here is a link you may find helpful. I believe you have to remove the main serpentine belt to remove the Power Steering belt.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
