Okay, it starts okay but it's hard to drive it and vary hard to turn. Left or right and i'm not hearing no noise or grinding. Nothing like that.

Hi,

If you are not getting power assist, chances are the pump is bad. However, there is a pressure sensor that can be causing the issue as well.

Since there is no noise, I suspect the fluid level isn't an issue. However, please check it and confirm its condition is okay. Also, inspect the hoses to make sure there are no leaks or damaged hoses. See pics 1 and 2 below.

Next, this vehicle has a separate power steering belt. Check to make sure it is on, not loose, and not damaged. Make sure it is tight as well and turning the pump. See pic 3 for the position. I circled the pulley.

If that is good, then we need to check the pressure sensor. See pic 4 for testing.

The sensor is located near the rack and pinion. See pic 5 for location.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
