Power loss after battery change

The car was running perfectly until we put a new battery in. Now it has power loss and does not get out of its own way. There are no odd noises. It idles very low now and even shut off while idling once. It is a 6 cylinder rebuilt engine and rebuilt manual transmission. Should I disconnect and reconnect battery or reset computer to factory settings? Thanks!

When battery is disconnected, it would lose all memories and the computer would need to relearn. Go for a drive and be gentle and gradual with the accelerator. The problem would sort itself out after a short while as the computer relearns.

Cleaning the throttle body and ISC would be a good idea as the idling speed is low indicating they are dirty.
